European Composers Informal Meeting and master classes in Baku
There was European Composers Informal Meeting from 10 to 15 October 2000 in Baku. And within the frames took part: the concerts and international master class on compositions that held such famous compositors as Faraj Garayev and Krzystof Meyer.
This initiative of young compositors from 10 different countries (Austria, England, Azerbaijan, Holland, Georgia, Finland, Poland, France, Sweden, Russia) allowed strengthen contacts with countries of Europe region which have actively developing and very dynamic culture. Meeting and discussion of the colleagues from different countries were useful not only for attracted attention of wide public opinion to the creation of young generation of compositors and musicians who working on elite field of contemporary music.
Some concerts were within frame of this project. Solo concerts of Yuri Sayutkin, Azerbaijan (piano) and Aleksander Vagendristel, Austria (flute), 2 concerts of ensemble SONOR, Azerbaijan, in which was performed the music of participants of European Informal Composers Meeting.
Sponsors activity on realization of the project was done with Open Society Institute Assistant Foundation- Azerbaijan, Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan Republic, Embassy of Germany in Azerbaijan, The British Council, on assistance of Society of Contemporary music "Yeni Musiqi".
